Canned Food Drive

Sponsored by campus ministry, the annual canned food drive, conducted around the Thanksgiving season, is one of Hoban's oldest traditions.
  • The 2009 drive was from Monday, Nov. 3, through Monday, Nov. 23.
  • The goal was 40,000 cans or units of nonperishable foods. In 2009, a total of 36,222 cans were collected.
  • Cans are collected by the first period classes. The class with the highest number at the end of the drive wins the Golden Can Award.
  • The grade level with the highest total will celebrate a picnic and field day on Friday, April 22, 2010.
  • Last year the seniors won; for pictures of last spring's senior picnic, click HERE. To see this year's first period room results click HERE. The grade-level results are posted below.

Faith & Service

As educators in the faith, Hoban seeks to transform people from within.  We teach in order to nurture people who comprehend reality from the perspective of faith.  Integral to this approach is the opportunity for individual and communal spiritual growth.  A Holy Cross education fosters the values, attitudes and behaviors necessary for indiviuals to make a real difference in the world.
