Library Learning Center

The library learning center and its personnel serve Hoban students, faculty and staff.  Students are provided instruction in skills that enable them to retrieve information, select appropriate sources and communicate ideas.

On school days the library is open from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students are to sign in at the front desk during school hours. An atmosphere conducive to studying and reading will be maintained. Student cooperation in this is appreciated.

Regular circulation is for a two-week loan. The late fee is five cents per school day. Excessive fines will result in revoked library privileges. Students are responsible for all materials checked out in their name. All lost items are to be reported to the librarian. Students will have a reasonable amount of time to find the missing item before being asked to pay for it.

There is a copy machine in the library for student use. The charge is 10 cents per copy.

  • The following informational and technological resources are available at the library
  • General reference works: bibliographies, encyclopedias, dictionaries, language dictionaries, periodicals and newspapers (prinf and CD-ROM formats)
  • Online public access catalog with 10,000 volume collection
