Two groups of Hoban juniors and seniors, 12 in January and another 12 in February, visited La Luz, a Holy Cross-staffed parish in Guadalupe, Mexico. The parish, outside Monterrey, serves the pastoral needs of the Catholic people, most living in extreme poverty. The Hoban students participate in this ministry and come in contact with the parishioners in formal and informal settings, whether taking Communion to the homebound, playing sports with the local kids or teaching catechism.
