Mitten Drive

Each Christmas, Hoban students collect mittens, gloves and hats to provide warmth for the children at nearby Robinson Community Learning Center who might not be able to afford them. Hoban's SADD chapter sponsors the activity. Hoban received the following letter of gratitude:

Dear Staff and Students,

As you can see from the students' thank you letters, the hats, gloves, mittens and scarves were a big hit. The children were quite excited when their classroom was called to the conference room to select their new "warm wear." Your very generous donation provided our school children with items to warm heads, hands, necks and hearts. Some of your gifts were beautifully handmade. Thank you to those who took extra time and have the talent to make items for our children. Not only are the students most appreciative; their families, as well, send a heartfelt thank you.

On behalf of our students, their families and our staff, we graciously accept your wonderful donation with many thanks. Your giving is a wonderful lesson for our students. Please convey our gratitude to your membership.
