Holy Cross Leadership


Students from seven Holy Cross high schools came together at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind., for the annual Holy Cross Conference from June 29 until July 3. This year 41 students (29 boys and 12 girls) and nine adult leaders from coast to coast took part in the workshop. Schools represented were: 
Hoban participants were Jenna Decker, Ben Edwards, Paul Mahon, Jake Pelini, Jessica Walpole, Emery Willis and Nettie Yanko. Directing the conference were Casey Yandek from St. Edward and Kevin Hillery from Hoban.

The group had an opportunity to have lunch and talk with the brothers at Columba Hall while on their tour of the Holy Cross historic sites at the University of Notre Dame. On Friday, July 2, Father Tom Walsh from Holy Trinity celebrated Mass at St. Joseph Chapel in Holy Cross Village with the conference participants and brothers from the area. Dinner followed, along with a short program recapping the participants’ day performing service in the South Bend area. A number of brothers gave short presentations on their calling and ministry.
