Blessed Basil Moreau, who founded the Congregation of Holy Cross, believed successful schools must educate both the minds and the hearts of students, imparting to them the competence to see and the courage to act.
The National Catholic Education Association designated the week of Jan. 29 to Feb. 4 as the annual observance of Catholic Schools Week. This year's theme is: "Catholic Schools: Fatih. Academics. Service." Catholic Schools Week is observed each year to recognize the contribution Catholic schools make to American society. Parents club provides food and other treats for students and staff. Dress code guidelines for each day are posted around the school. They may also be downloaded by clicking HERE.
To be listed on the honor roll, a student must have a 3.00 grade-point average, with no grade lower than C-minus. There are three honor roll classifications:

Sophomore Cristina Clark won a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio State Council of the Knights of Columbus. She was among 180 applicants in the diocese to submit an essay on what the scholarship would mean to the student. From over 400 applications statewide, 30 scholarships were awarded, eight in the Diocese of Cleveland. A recipient must have a good academic record and list activities in the Catholic Church and community. Mr. Robert Collins Jr., K of C State Treasurer, presented the check to Cristina and her mother Shirley Jan. 25. Click blue headline for larger pictures.
