2024 EXPLORE HOBAN SUMMER CAMPS

 

Students in various grades are invited to experience life at the Castle, gain additional instruction, continue advancing in skill and have tons of fun during Hoban’s academic and athletic camps. 

Parents, please check the camp dates carefully to not register students for two camps with conflicting dates and/or times.  

Academic Camps

ACADEMIC CAMP
JUNE 10-13, 8 a.m.—3 p.m.

Students entering into grades 4-7 can explore a variety of academic interests throughout the day, learning from Hoban educators. Campers should pack a lunch each day.

THEATRE CAMP
JUNE 10-13, 17-21

During this camp, students entering grades 3-8 will prepare for a performance of the three skills needed in theatre: singing, acting and dancing. They will gain confidence in their abilities while learning new theatre techniques and preparing for a performance at the end of the camp session. Students will need to bring a water bottle and pack a light snack each day.

Fashion Design Camp

FASHION DESIGN CAMP
JUNE 24-27, 9 a.m. - Noon

Taught by the Upcycle Academy, students entering grades 3-8 will be introduced to fashion principles and upcycling techniques. Color, Fashion Sketching, Styling, Trend Spotting, Digital Media, Sustainable Style and Upcycling!

Select garments from the upcycle shop (denim/sweats/tees). Tap into your creativity and have a blast creating clothes you will be excited to wear. All upcycling materials and clothing are included. Feel free to bring your own from home if you have a special design in mind!

MODEL UN CAMP
JULY 30-31, 9 a.m. - Noon

Hoban Model UN Camp is ideal for middle school students who are interested in learning about global issues and enhancing their public speaking skills. Through a variety of games and activities, students entering grades 6-8 will learn about the United Nations, practice debate skills and collaborate with peers. The camp will conclude with a Model United Nations simulation which will allow them to put everything that they have learned into action!
