The Academic Challenge varsity team competed in the state tournament at St. Charles Prep School in Columbus on May 11. Senior Jacob Givens, junior Michael Bowling, and sophomores Owen Kovalik, Isabelle Hahn and Jonathan Popa represented Hoban and finished 10th out of over 200 teams in Ohio. A team dinner at Schmidt’s in German Village capped off the most successful season since 1992. Mr. Ben Rossi, Mrs. Jennifer Spontarelli and Mrs. Judy Mohan are the team advisers.
