Hoban receives school safety grant

Hoban has been awarded a $100,000 grant as part of Ohio's K-12 School Safety Grant Program. Hoban was notified of the award on Feb. 3 as part of the fourth round of funding. To date, $173 million has been awarded to Ohio K-12 schools to help pay for physical security expenses, such as new security cameras, public address systems, automatic door locks, visitor badging systems and exterior lighting. The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) is administering the program in partnership with the Ohio School Safety Center.

"We are grateful to receive state funding to enhance our robust safety plan here at Hoban," President Chris DiMauro ’99 said. "There is nothing more meaningful than to continue to ensure the health and well-being of our students and educators. These monies will go a long way in maintaining our efforts in this space."
