Mayor of Akron speaks to senior class

Mayor Horrigan is visiting each Akron high school to conduct town hall sessions with seniors. In his visit to Hoban April 17 he shared his background and how he views local politics. He broght a few cabinet members to talk about their roles and then opened it up to questions from students. The seniors asked many questions about homelessness and the tent city in Akron. The mayor spoke about encouraging development and business opportunities in the city, what the city should offer to keep young professionals from moving out, and building cultural connections with local immigrant and refugee communities.
