Fall Play tickets on sale

Archbishop Hoban High School Theatre proudly announces its 2025 fall play production of Little Women, adapted by Kate Hamill from the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott. Performances will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m. in the Barry Gymnasium. Pre-sale tickets are available online. 

Set during the American Civil War, Little Women follows the coming-of-age journey of the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate love, loss, family, and the pursuit of their dreams. Kate Hamill’s fresh, witty, and heartfelt adaptation breathes new life into Alcott’s classic, blending humor and poignancy while exploring what it means to grow up and find one’s place in the world.

Under the direction of Alex Funk, Hoban’s production features a talented cast and crew of students who bring the timeless characters to life with warmth, energy and authenticity. The creative team has worked collaboratively to evoke the world of the March family through imaginative staging and design. Those involved in the creative team include:  

• Seniors James Kline (assistant technical director/lighting and sound designer) and Jocelyn Person (stage manager)
• Juniors Maliya Templeton (actor/graphics designer) and Halya Hoffman (treasurer of Hoban Theatre)
• Sophomores Maggie Sejba (asst. stage manager) and Landon Jacobs (properties manager)
• Freshmen Stephanie Hajjar (costumer) and Mia Yusufi (choreographer)

“This story is about resilience, creativity and the power of love and family,” Funk said. “Hamill’s adaptation captures the spirit of the original novel while giving it a modern voice that speaks to audiences of all generations.”
