2025 One Hope-One Dream Award Assembly
On Jan. 31, Hoban held the 2025 One Hope-One Dream Award assembly, honoring two distinguished alumni—James Finley '61 and Tona Boyd '99—who have spent their lives living the Holy Cross values of hope and integrity.
The award assembly is held annually during Catholic School's Week and kicks off Black History Month celebrations. This year’s Black History Month theme is “African Americans and Labor” and focuses on highlighting the significant contributions of Black Americans to society’s workforce. While they graduated nearly 40 years apart and have had vastly different experiences, James and Tona represent how our labor can not only fulfill our own lives but also bring goodness and hope to others.

Nominations for the award are open year-round. If you know of a Hoban graduate who should be considered, please nominate them online.
