Academic Challenge team finishes fifth in state

A big shout-out to Hoban’s Academic Challenge for its performance at the state tournament in Columbus May 1. After grueling rounds against the top 16 teams from six regions, Hoban’s varsity finished fifth in the state. In the team’s last state competition in 2019, it finished 10th. Mrs. Ball and Mrs. Mohan, the faculty advisers, are proud of their hard-working, calm, cool and brilliant group of students. Join us in congratulating seniors Owen Kovalik and Jonathan Popa, junior Maddie Mlachak, sophomore Ryan Yovichin, and freshman Annie Fuhrer on an outstanding season.
