Hoban girls basketball captures Division II State Championship
The Archbishop Hoban girls basketball team captured the OHSAA Division II Girls Basketball State Championship on Saturday, March 14, defeating Mount Notre Dame High School 72–64 at the University of Dayton Arena. Led by senior guard Niera Stevens’ 25 points, the Knights built a large first-half lead and held off a late comeback to secure the program’s first state championship since 1988. Hoban placed three players in double figures and used balanced scoring and strong shooting to finish a memorable postseason run.
