Students spend Easter break performing service
Easter break is an exciting time and a much-needed break from school for students. While some students are on vacation, others choose to spend their week off school helping others. A total of 30 students completed an estimated 900 hours of service this year. Nine students visited Sarasota, Fla.; another nine traveled to Austin, Texas; and 12 worked in New Orleans. Each trip was unique yet similar in students' growth in faith, fellowship and connection to our neighbors in other parts of the country. Students took part in building a home for Habitat for Humanity, visiting nursing homes, nurseries and schools, weeding gardens, painting benches, feeding the homeless and having a good time throughout.
