Public school districts that have traditionally provided bus services to Hoban are Copley-Fairlawn, Coventry, Green, Hudson, Manchester, Stow-Munroe Falls and Tallmadge. Call the school transportation department in your district for information regarding bus routes and pickup points. District services can change and are sometimes not determined until late July. Families are encouraged to check with their local district to ensure current services.
Hoban provides bus service to the following areas:
Medina Route 18
This route starts at St. Francis Xavier School in Medina and travels down Route 18 with stops at Godard Ford and Sunoco (Copley), then continues on Market Street, stopping at Arhaus Furniture, Our Lady of the Elms School and Walgreens in Highland Square before arriving at Hoban.
This route starts at St. Barnabas School in Northfield, then travels south and stops at the Park & Ride at Route 8 and Route 303 before arriving at Hoban
This route starts at Faith Family Church in North Canton at Exit 112 (Shuffel Road) just off I-77 and continues north on I-77 before arriving at Hoban.
The route starts at Holiday Inn Express in Brimfield on Route 43, just north of I-76 and continues west on I-76 before arriving at Hoban.
Families from districts not offering busing should inquire about payment-in-lieu of transportation. Call the transportation department at your school district regarding its reimbursement policy. Districts offering payment-in-lieu of-transportation include: Akron, Chippewa, Field, Lake, Norton, Revere, Springfield and Wadsworth.
Metro RTA bus routes run within a few blocks of Hoban. Families should call 1.800.227.9905 for Metro RTA schedules and routes. High school students who live in the Akron School District can apply for a complimentary Metro bus pass to be used throughout their four years at Hoban during both school days and weekends.
