Student Athletic Aides
With such a vibrant athletic program, Hoban's athletic training office is a busy one. The student athletic aide program assists the athletic trainer and supports all student athletes.
Student athletic aides' responsibilities include stocking the first aid kits, cleaning the training room and preparing ice and water for the teams.
The most important role of the athletic aide is to learn about injuries and anatomy. They must be able to tape and know when to send an injured player to the athletic trainer. Some student athletic aides who are interested in medical careers choose to attend summer camps to learn techniques and assessments.
