Hoban drove through some pouring rain on the way up to Mentor Lake Catholic and continued to make it pour inside the gym, knocking down 11 triples and routing the Cougars, 57-32. The Knights came out firing on all cylinders and stayed hot through the first quarter up 22-7. The deficit would never get any closer as the Knights would continue to see their lead grow. Aside from their great shooting, Hoban’s defense stepped up, forcing a season-high 23 turnovers.

Leading the way for Hoban was senior Isaiah Young with a game high 16 points. Jonas Nichols chipped in 14 points and Colin Jaroch connected on three triples, adding 9 points. Once again, Hoban opened their bench play up, playing all 15 varsity players who dressed for the game with nine players getting into the scoring column.

The Knights had a long drive home with a quick turnaround, as they'll get ready to play Brunswick tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Spectrum Orthopedics Classic at Hoover High School.
