Erin Smith, a former soloist with the Columbia City Ballet in South Carolina, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in dance from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the University of Akron.
Smith received scholarships to the Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and the Vaganova Training Festival in Pittsburgh, Pa. She has taught dance at the University of Akron and currently teaches jazz, ballet, pointe and modern dance technique at Kent State University. Together with her husband Mark, Erin owns and operates Studio West Performing Arts Centre, LLC in Fairlawn, Ohio. She has a son, Justin, and a daughter, Brooke. Erin and her family are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cuyahoga Falls.
