Teachers will provide Common App essay prompts, helpful hints and exemplar essays for reference. Teachers will provide individualized instruction and feedback for all participants. This workshop will be beneficial in preparing incoming senior students for planning, writing, revising and editing their essays. By the end of the week, students will have a workable copy of their college essay. 

Students should come with a general idea, outline, or rough draft of their essay. They may bring their iPads as well.

Hoban Model UN Camp is ideal for middle school students who are interested in learning about global issues and enhancing their public speaking skills. Through a variety of games and activities, students will learn about the United Nations, practice debate skills and collaborate with peers. The camp will conclude with a Model United Nations simulation which will allow them to put everything that they have learned into action!

Science Olympiad Summer Camp is an excellent opportunity for middle school students (rising grades 6-8) to experience what it is like to prepare for and compete in a Science Olympiad Tournament. Students will experience a variety of science topics and activities associated with the Middle School (Division B) Science Olympiad Program through an inquiry-based and hands-on/minds-on approach. We will cover events such as Write It, Do It, Can't Judge a Powder, Bridge, and Experimental Design. Whether your child is deeply interested in science or wants to learn more, this camp is for them!

During this camp, students will prepare for a performance of the three skills needed in theatre: singing, acting and dancing. They will gain confidence in their abilities while learning new theatre techniques and preparing for a performance at the end of the camp session. Students will need to bring a water bottle and pack a light snack each day.

The 2023 Hoban Baseball Summer Camp will be held on Hoban's brand new turf field. This 3 day camp will provide the campers with extensive instruction from both the Hoban coaching staff and varsity baseball players. 

Instruction will include;
Offense - hitting, baserunning, bunting, mental side of hitting and video/data of each camper

Defense - fielding, throwing and mental side of defense

Pitching - Throwing program, arm care, mechanics, short bullpens, video/ data for each camper

Each player that attends will get the full Hoban Baseball player experience and will receive Hoban baseball gear that our players are also wearing.

The Hoban boys soccer summer camp is available for boys in grades 4-9 playing at all levels, from beginner to advanced. Players will have the unique and exciting opportunity to improve soccer skills around Hoban boys players and under the direction of our Hoban boys coaching staff. Come and train on high quality turf fields with all equipment and materials needed to make the most of the training in a fun and safe environment.

Come join the Archbishop Hoban girls basketball staff and varsity players for 3 fun filled days of basketball. During this camp, campers will learn both fundamental and advanced ball handling skills, shooting and defensive concepts.

Day 2: Crazy Sock Day. (wear your favorite)  
Day 3: Popsicle and Dance Day

The camp will provide fundamental skills for all positions, positioning including base to read movements, team skills, and competitive games.

3rd - 4th grade campers will focus on ball control & move into team skills including rotations and positions while allowing all campers development in all positions.

5th - 6th grade campers will get repetitions to reinforce fundamentals skills and apply them in a team setting.  The team skills will include rotation development allowing them to work through different rotation variation understanding overlaps as well as offensive & defensive strategies including an introduction to quick attacking.

7th - 8th grade campers will refine fundamentals skills and team skills while developing court IQ working into multiple offensive and defensive strategies including quick attacking & plays.  Skills will be reinforced with competitive games that are challenging and fun.

This camp will cover the ABC's of tennis fundamentals. During the week, campers will learn tennis mechanics and techniques while introducing them to starting points and scoring. This camp is great for players of all skill levels.
