Each senior is required to schedule a time to get their senior portrait taken at Lyon’s Photography. The portraits are used in the yearbook and the class composite. There is no cost to the family for the portrait unless you decide to purchase prints.

MARCH 6, 2023, 6 p.m.

All senior parents are invited to attend a parent dinner. Members of the administration will provide senior event related information.

The cost to attend is $10 per person. Cash or checks can be submitted to Janet Wood or Michelle Agnoni in the Central Office or paid at the dinner.

Congratulatory ads for your senior will be published in the 2022-23 Hoban Yearbook. The deadline for submission has passed. 

Order forms to purchase the 2023 yearbook are available in the central office. You can also purchase the yearbook online below (order number 3540). If you are uncertain if you have a yearbook on order, check the list in the central office or contact Mr. Feador.

Order a senior yard sign to celebrate your student and support after-prom activities.

APRIL 21, 2023

As we prepare for graduation, we need to request some information from you. In our graduation program, we list the name of every scholarship a student has received. Only the name of the scholarship is listed, not the dollar amount. Please email or deliver copies of those award letters to Mrs. Jo Gallo in our Student Services Office. You can scan those documents to gallojo@hoban.org.  

Please include all scholarship offers, even if you are not attending that awarding school. This would include merit scholarships, athletic scholarships and private scholarships. Please have these submitted by Friday, April 21, so they can be included in the graduation program. We will publicize a collective scholarship amount for the Class of 2023.

APRIL 27, 2023

Seniors are encouraged to wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt to represent the college or university they plan to attend. They will celebrate Mass as a class at 2 p.m. Following Mass, photos will be taken of the class and each college group.

MAY 1-10, 2023

Students who will take an advanced placement test will do so in early May. Below is the schedule for the AP tests.

All students will receive two [2] reserved seat tickets and eight [8] general admission tickets. To request additional tickets, email Mike MacDonald.

Students will receive their graduation tickets with their cap and gown on May 16 or when all requirements for graduation are satisfied.

Buffet style meal will be served at 6:30 p.m.

All prom tickets will be purchased before and after school. Cash and checks only. Ticket sale dates and times will be announced at a later date.

Hoban senior ticket cost is $50.

SENIOR AFTER-PROM

10 P.M. – 1:30 A.M., THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON REC CENTER

• Check-in begins at 10 p.m. and students must arrive by 10:30 p.m.
• Students who have to leave After Prom early must have a signed parental permission form turned in the week before Prom. Please strongly encourage your student to stay safe with us for the entire event.
• To help defray the cost of After Prom, a $50.00 minimum donation is requested per family. Parents can either: Send a check to the Hoban Central Office marked “After-Prom.”
• Pay online on Venmo @Archbishop-Hoban. If you donate via Venmo, please type “After-Prom” in the Venmo description so the Advancement Office can appropriately designate the donation.

Seniors and Hoban alumni are invited to breakfast to welcome the senior class to the Alumni Association. Alumni who wish to attend can RSVP online.

All parents are welcome to attend the seniors’ final Mass as Hoban students.

DRESS CODE: Boys should be clean-shaven and wear dress pants, shirts, ties and no earrings. Girls should dress in modest dress attire. All students must wear dress shoes — no exceptions!

GRADUATION TICKETS AND GOWNS PICK UP

11:30 A.M. – NOON, CONCOURSE

Provided all graduation requirements have been met, students may pick up their cap and gown after the all-school Mass. Students in danger of failing a required course will not receive their cap and gown until course requirements have been met.

• All tuition and fees must be paid in full through the Business Office by May 8.
• iPad must be turned in along with the lightning USB cable and the big brick power adapter. If the iPad is not in working condition or the screen is cracked, then a fee will be charged to repair it. If the cord and adapter do not charge the iPad, a fee will be charged to replace it.
• All textbooks and supplemental books must be turned in to the proper teacher or a new book must be purchased through the Business Office by May 15.
• All art supplies must be returned to the proper teacher.
• All service hours must be completed and logged in x2VOL.
• All sports equipment and uniforms must be returned to the Athletic Office.
• All disciplinary matters must be settled by Tuesday, May 16.

HOBAN LETTER PAINTING

All seniors who choose to paint the Hoban letters on the hillsides are welcome to do so. Consider bringing a change of clothes.

• Caps and Gowns may not be modified or marked up in any way. Additional cords or stoles besides the ones already provided by Hoban may not be added to a student’s cap and gown.
• Gentlemen should be clean-shaven and wear dress pants, shirts and ties. No earrings.
• Ladies should dress in modest attire.
• All students must wear dress shoes – no exceptions!
