Students and educators are afforded the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent, Advent and Spes Unica retreats. Area priests are available in Holy Cross Chapel all day, and students can take part in the sacrament during their theology class or study hall. The days are organized by the campus ministry office as part of Hoban’s observance of Lent and Advent.

- Is Reconciliation mandatory?
While it is highly encouraged that all students participate, it is not enforced or mandatory.
- Is Reconciliation only available to Catholic students?
Reconciliation is open to all students regardless of religious affiliation. Students of other denominations are welcome to participate.
- Why should I consider going to Reconciliation?
Reconciliation is a beautiful sacrament of healing. Admitting mistakes and wrongdoing is not an easy or comfortable experience, yet through the process we become more connected to God. Afterwards, you will experience incredible feelings of peace, relief and love. Self reflection during this prayerful experience also allows us to know ourselves better, realize particular vices we may struggle with and strengthen our will to resist temptation and follow Jesus' will.
