Hoban is an EdChoice provider. As part of the biennium budget passed in summer of 2023, the Ohio Legislature expanded eligibility to all Ohio families.
In the 2023-24 academic year, students assigned to a designated public school received $8,407 via the EdChoice Traditional Scholarship.
In the 2023-24 academic year, students received awards of $950-$8,407 via the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, which is based on family income. Families with incomes at or below 450% of the poverty level received the maximum award amount of $8,407. Families with incomes at or above 750% of the federal poverty level received the minimum award amount of $950. Per Ohio law, students must complete the Hoban admissions and enrollment process before they can apply for an EdChoice Scholarship.
Hoban has been and will continue to be committed to making a Holy Cross education possible for all students. We believe in school choice for students and their families. As such, Hoban has been an approved provider for the traditional EdChoice scholarship program since 2012 and an EdChoice Expansion provider since 2020.
