Holy Cross Celebration and Catholic Schools Week are next week. Students, keep an eye out on your email for more details for next week. 

Mr. Griffith is driving a fan van to the regional dance competition that the Hoban dance team will be participating in.  He needs at least eight or more to offer this opportunity.  The van will leave Hoban at 2 p,m, on Sunday and come home by 5 p.m.  We will watch the girls compete in their 3:15 p.m. performance at Massillon Perry High School. He needs you to email him  at griffitht@hoban.org if interested in this opportunity. Students need to purchase tickets online with the link that is attached below. Students must use their student ID found in Final Forms as the "Passcode" to get a ticket. (The student ID has now been added to the student account.) 1 ticket per student. There are only 250 student tickets available.

Include sport, school, number of many family members that will be with you. The event is a ceremonial signing only. What do pharmacists do? Explore the profession at Findlay’s VIP2 Day. Findlay’s College of Pharmacy would like to invite students from Hoban to join our VIP2 day of learning and exploring. Students will get an overview of pharmacy practice as they spend time in the lab compounding chemicals, learning about physical assessment and filling prescriptions under the supervision of our College of Pharmacy faculty and teaching assistants. Attention all juniors, sophomores and freshmen:You received a one-question survey this week asking you to select possible Social Studies course interests for next year. Please check your email and take one minute to fill in the survey. This will help to make sure you are registered for the correct courses for next year. 

Attention all freshmen: If you are interested in taking AP European History next year, you need to complete an application to be recommended for the class. If you are currently in World Civilizations or took the class last semester, you need to see your teacher for an application.  All completed applications are due today.

Attention all sophomores: If you are interested in taking AP United States History next year you need to complete an application to be recommended for the class. If you are currently in Western Civilizations or took the class last semester, or if you are currently in AP European History, you need to see your teacher for an application. All completed applications are due today.

Attention sophomores Applications for HOBY and Junior Leadership Akron are due Jan. 31.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity.  Pick up an application in student services and return to Mrs. Maltempi by the 31st.

If you are currently in a College Prep level English class and you are excelling with straight As, you may want to consider applying to Honors or AP English next year. Applications for Honors 10 and AP English 11 and 12 are available now. Pick one up from your English teacher. All applicants must attend an impromptu write during Enrichment on Feb.1t. Completed applications are due to your English teacher by Feb. 2. See Ms. Adaway in Room 134 with any questions.
