Student Scholarships

As a Holy Cross school, inclusiveness is one of the values on which Hoban was built. Through student scholarships, the endowment fund offers extraordinary educational opportunities to students of all backgrounds who otherwise could not attend Hoban. A healthy endowment fund secures Hoban’s future success, helps diversify our student body and enriches our entire community.

Over the years, alumni, parents and friends have established many endowed scholarships. Learn how you can contribute to an established scholarship or create a legacy of your own.  Contact Angela Sass, Director of Endowed Gifts, at 330.773.8620.

Endowed Scholarships

Without student scholarships and donors’ generosity, many students would not be able to attend Hoban. Students receive scholarships based on financial need and/or academics, depending on the criteria spelled out in the scholarships. Watch the video to learn more about one student's story.

“Holy Cross will grow like a mighty tree and constantly shoot forth new limbs whose branches will produce yet others, and all nourished from the same sap and endowed with the same life.”

—Blessed Basil Moreau, Circular Letter 65

Endowed Scholarship Luncheon

Hoban's Office of Advancement hosts annual Scholarship Luncheons to celebrate the donors who make a Hoban education possible for so many students. It's an opportunity for students to meet and thank the scholarship donors and for the donors to get to know the students.
